June 25, 2020 CANCELLED It is with great sadness that TimberTrail Western Riders have had to make the difficult decision to cancel the remainder of the 2020 TWR season. This decision was not taken lightly and there were many factors that came into play when making this decision such as COVID concerns and insurance. The Percy Agricultural Society informed us that their grounds will not be open for the remainder of the 2020 season due to COVID concerns, understandably, but has welcomed us back for the 2021 season and we look forward to working with them. Any member who has paid a membership will have it transferred over to the 2021 TWR season. We will be also reaching out to the sponsors that have paid sponsorships to discuss options with them. The Club hopes to follow COVID regulations throughout the summer and hopefully organize different events, such as trail rides, poker runs, dances and a banquet. The TWR Executive would like to thank its members and sponsors for being patient with us during this difficult time. We look forward to seeing everyone in the 2021 season. May 9, 2020 June Show – Due to the continuing COVID-19 concerns, the TimberTrail Western Riders Executive has made the decision to cancel the June Shows. We are going to continue to hold out hope that we will be able to host some shows this season and will continue to keep our membership updated. 2020 Memberships – The TWR Executive has chosen to defer the membership due date to Friday, July 3^rd, 2020. The Executive would like to thank its members for their continued patience during this uncertain time. APRIL 16, 2020 – Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, the TimberTrail Western Riders Executive had chosen to defer the 2020 Membership Fee due date until Friday, June 5^th, 2020. The Executive is also working to book an additional show date in September, so please stay tuned for the new date to be announced. The Executive would like to thank everyone for their patience during this time. APRIL 5, 2020 - Effective immediately, the 2020 TimberTrail Western Riders Executive has decided to cancel the May show for now as per Equestrian Canada guidelines. We will have more details to follow as the COVID-19 virus progresses. TimberTrail Western Riders is a family oriented horse club located in the Trent Hills, Ontario area, close to Norwood and Havelock. TimberTrail Western riders has been in existence for over 30 years. · 4 horse shows a year, on the third Saturday (Performance Events) & the third Sunday (Speed Events) of May, June, July & August · A Fundraising Barrel Race Jackpot on Victoria Day Monday · No Entry Fees – Low Membership Fee Only · Results are NAERIC Approved (North American Equine Ranching Information Council) · Trail rides on long weekends throughout the summer and fall Each season begins with a Spring Clean-Up Day and concludes with an Annual Awards Banquet.
